The set price lunch menu at Acio is always an interesting option, for 12 euros you get entrée, main and dessert plus a drink. Although you can’t choose different dishes you are asked about allergies or dietary options. You can check out the menu – it changes daily – on their facebook page (menu express) or on their blog.
Last Tuesday the entrée was Pastel de cabracho con ensalada (Fish pudding with salad), Arroz de codornices y verduras (Rice with quail and vegetables) and Tartaleta de chocolate y helado de turrón (Chocolate tart with nougat ice cream). Rice is often on the menu, since Iago Castrillón, the chef, worked four years in Valencia with Ricard Camarena, so he knows his way around rice! Eva Pizarro, sommelier, always has interesting wines in the menu. Accidentally, this is one of the very few places in Santiago where you’ll be able to have a glass of Sherry wine as an aperitif.
The Menú Gastronómico is around 40€ (drinks not included), and for New Year’s Eve they have a really interesting menu for 60€.
